CORA – Alcohol-Free Sparkling Drinks with a Character of Their Own

Cornelia and Pontus Höglind created CORA to give alcohol-free drinks a natural place at the dinner table. Their first release is a sparkling drink flavoured with bergamot and vanilla.

Behind CORA are two people I know, Cornelia and Pontus Höglind. That makes it especially lovely to introduce their new drinks brand and share the story behind it.

The idea began with something Cornelia felt was missing. She enjoyed long dinners and celebrating with friends, but often chose not to drink alcohol. Among the alcohol-free options, she struggled to find what she wanted: a thoughtfully crafted drink with a grown-up flavour, worthy of being served in a beautiful glass.

Together with Pontus, she decided to create it.

Individual Tastes, a Shared Idea

Cornelia and Pontus may choose different drinks, but they share a love of good company and time around the dinner table. That became the starting point for CORA: choosing differently while still sharing the occasion.

Their ambition is an alcohol-free drink with its own identity, centred on flavour and the experience of being together.

Bergamot, Vanilla and Bubbles

Their first release, CORA Bergamot & Vanilla, is described by the company as dry and fresh, with bergamot adding lift and vanilla rounding out the flavour. It contains 0.0% alcohol, comes in a 750 ml bottle and is served well chilled in a wine glass.

With CORA, the founders want to create a drink for everyday dinners as well as bigger celebrations. A bottle to bring to the table when people gather, whatever everyone else chooses to drink.

Taste CORA in Oskarshamn on 20 October

On Tuesday, 20 October, from 2:30 to 5:00 pm, Cornelia and Pontus are hosting CORA’s first tasting in Oskarshamn. The venue is Cornelia Höglind’s photography studio at Lilla torget 2, below Cecil.

They will offer a glass and share the story of how CORA came to be. It is a drop-in event, so stop by whenever suits you and feel free to bring a friend.

Of course, we at Corkframes will be there, and we look forward to tasting it!
