- 1 cooked lobster (split lengthwise)
- 50 g butter
- 1 garlic clove (pressed)
- 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley
- Juice of half a lemon
- Salt and pepper
Instructions:
-
Prepare the lobster:
Split the lobster lengthwise if not already done. Remove the stomach (at the head) and the small intestinal tract. Keep the meat in the shell for a beautiful presentation. -
Make the filling:
Melt the butter in a small saucepan and stir in the pressed garlic, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, and chopped parsley. Squeeze in the lemon juice and season with a pinch of salt and pepper. -
Fill and gratinate:
Place the lobster halves on a baking dish with the shell side down. Evenly spread the filling over the lobster meat. -
Gratinate:
Preheat the oven to 225 °C (440 °F) and gratinate the lobster for about 8–10 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbling. -
Serve:
Serve the gratinated lobster warm, accompanied by a fresh green salad, toasted bread, or a glass of dry white wine such as Chablis or Sauvignon Blanc.
Extra luxury tips:
Add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the filling for a mild kick or swap Parmesan with Gruyère for a richer taste.
