At Corkframes, we believe that every cork tells a story. Behind each popped bottle, there's a memory worth preserving – a wedding, a milestone birthday, a romantic toast, or a life-changing moment. And few champagnes capture that spirit quite like Pol Roger.

With over 170 years of history and an unwavering commitment to elegance and quality, Champagne Pol Roger isn’t just a beverage – it’s a symbol of taste, tradition, and timeless celebration. When one of their corks finds a home in a Corkframe, it often represents something deeply meaningful.

“The most drinkable address in the world”

Founded in 1849 in the heart of Épernay, Pol Roger is a name synonymous with refinement. The house began exporting to the UK in the late 19th century and quickly won over aristocrats, statesmen, and royals. But its most iconic fan was none other than Sir Winston Churchill.

The British Prime Minister famously adored Pol Roger, calling their address on Avenue de Champagne “the most drinkable address in the world.” In his honor, the house created its most prestigious cuvée – Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill – a bold, structured, and age-worthy champagne that reflects the character of the man himself.

Family-owned, artisan-led

One of the many things we admire about Pol Roger – and what makes them a perfect fit for Corkframes – is that the house remains family-owned and independent. In a region where many historic names have been absorbed by corporate giants, Pol Roger continues to prioritize quality over quantity.

Every bottle is meticulously crafted. Unlike many modern producers, Pol Roger still performs manual remuage – the traditional process of slowly rotating bottles to collect sediment in the neck. This attention to detail isn’t just about technique; it’s about respect for the craft and the final experience in the glass.

Iconic champagnes that live on – in taste and memory

Pol Roger’s style is often described as refined, fresh, and elegant, with precise bubbles and a graceful balance of fruit, minerality, and brioche. Pinot Noir plays a prominent role in many of their blends, giving depth without overwhelming delicacy.

Some of their most celebrated cuvées include:

  • Pol Roger Brut Réserve – Known as "White Foil," this is the house’s signature champagne. A perfectly balanced blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Meunier. Fresh, fruity, and toasty – a go-to for any celebration.

  • Pol Roger Vintage – Made only in exceptional years. Aged for years in their deep chalk cellars, offering layers of citrus, hazelnut, and subtle spice.

  • Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill – Their flagship prestige cuvée. Full-bodied, complex, and built for the long haul. A champagne worthy of life’s biggest occasions.

A cork worth framing

At Corkframes, we love champagnes that leave a lasting impression – not just on the palate, but in the atmosphere they create. A cork from Pol Roger Brut Réserve looks just as stunning in one of our frames as it does on a festive table. It represents a moment worth remembering – whether it was a spontaneous Friday night toast or a Tuscan wedding.

Pol Roger isn't just champagne. It's a legacy – preserved, celebrated, and remembered, one cork at a time.
