Some summer evenings call for something extra. Extra flavor. Extra atmosphere. Extra style. On one of those evenings, we decided to experience two of Kasai Group’s locations – on the same night, in two very different parts of Sweden. I visited Kasai by the Beach in Visby, while my colleague Tobias headed to Bar Charles in Stockholm. Two places, one common thread: music, great food, and a setting you don’t want to leave.
Kasai by the Beach – Summer Vibes, a DJ, and a Sunset View
On the western coast of Visby, where the sun melts into the sea, you’ll find Kasai by the Beach. The restaurant is open for both lunch and dinner and offers a menu of sushi, robata, and Asian-inspired small plates – all served in a setting that feels both relaxed and refined.
As soon as we arrive, we’re met with a light, vibrant atmosphere. A DJ plays great music – loud enough to lift the energy, but still soft enough for conversations to flow. Guests lounge in the evening sun, and the staff are warm and attentive – I feel seen from the very first moment.
I order sushi, beautifully presented and full of flavor. My son chooses a non-alcoholic cocktail that quickly becomes a favorite. As we leave the restaurant just as the sun sets over the sea, it feels like the evening is only just beginning.
We continue walking through Visby’s cobbled streets. As we pass Kasai Visby in the heart of the old town, we hear music and laughter pouring from the terrace. The party is clearly in full swing – but we keep strolling, still in the calm and content rhythm we took with us from the beach.
Bar Charles – Rooftop Cocktails and a View Over Stockholm
Meanwhile, in Stockholm, Tobias takes the elevator up to Bar Charles, Kasai Group’s new rooftop bar located at Nybrokajen 9. From the terrace, the view over Nybroviken is stunning – a breathtaking start to the evening.
Bar Charles is all about signature cocktails and urban energy – not a full dinner experience, but a stylish and laid-back space dedicated to drinks crafted with care. It’s the perfect setting for an after-work, a pre-dinner drink, or a summer evening under the stars.
