Recipe: Crispy Chicken Wrap in Air Fryer
Ingredients (4 servings)
Crispy Chicken:
- 2 chicken fillets
- 1 dl (½ cup) panko breadcrumbs
- ½ dl (¼ cup) grated parmesan (optional but adds extra flavor)
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 tbsp oil or cooking spray
For the Wraps:
- 4 large tortilla wraps
- 1 dl (½ cup) crème fraîche or Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp honey
- ½ tsp lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 handful of mixed salad greens
- 1 tomato, sliced
- ½ red onion, thinly sliced
- ½ cucumber, cut into sticks
Instructions
1. Crispy Chicken in Air Fryer
- Slice the chicken fillets lengthwise to create four thinner pieces.
- Beat the egg in a bowl.
- In another bowl, mix panko, parmesan, paprika powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Dip the chicken first in flour, then in the egg, and finally in the breadcrumb mixture. Press firmly so the coating sticks well.
- Place the chicken in the air fryer without overlapping. Spray lightly with oil.
- Cook at 200°C (400°F) for 12–15 minutes, turning halfway through.
2. Sauce
- Mix crème fraîche, Dijon mustard, honey, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
3. Assembly
- Spread the sauce on the tortilla wraps.
- Add salad greens, tomato, red onion, and cucumber.
- Slice the crispy chicken and place it on top.
- Roll up the wraps and wrap them in parchment paper or foil for easy transport.
