Cork may be best known from wine bottles and classic pinboards — but today, this timeless natural material has found its way into our interiors in completely new ways. It’s warm, soft, and unique — perfect for creating a personal and inviting atmosphere at home.
A material with both history and a future
Cork comes from the bark of the cork oak tree, mainly found in Portugal and Spain. When harvested, only the outer bark is carefully removed without harming the tree. The bark then grows back over approximately nine years and can be harvested many times throughout the tree’s long lifespan (up to 200 years). This slow growth is part of cork’s charm and contributes to its unique character. Cork forests also promote biodiversity, store carbon dioxide, and support important ecosystems.
Why we love cork in our homes
Cork has a warm, natural texture that makes every detail unique. It dampens sound, feels pleasant to the touch, and adds a soft, cozy feel to any room. Today, we see cork used in everything from furniture and wall panels to lamps, coasters — and of course, in our wine corks.
Save your wine memories with Corkframes
At Corkframes, we celebrate the story of cork in a unique way. Our Corkframes are designed so you can save your wine memories — corks from dinners, travels, and special occasions. Every cork carries its own story, and together they create a personal artwork on your wall. It’s a creative and timeless detail that adds character to your home and sparks conversation.
Cork in new forms
We’ve also expanded our collection with more products made from natural cork, including stools, large decorative cork pieces, and other interior details. Our cork stools are both playful and elegant, perfect as extra seating, a side table, or simply as a beautiful sculptural element.
