The classic mimosa gets a holiday makeover in this festive Christmas version, perfect for celebrating the season.
This drink combines fresh orange juice, tart cranberry juice, and a hint of rosemary, creating an elegant and delicious cocktail for Christmas brunch or holiday gatherings.
Ingredients (Serves 4):
- 4 dl orange juice (preferably fresh-squeezed)
- 2 dl cranberry juice (unsweetened or lightly sweetened)
- 1 bottle of sparkling wine (Cava, Prosecco or Champagne), well-chilled
- Fresh cranberries (for garnish)
- 4 small sprigs of fresh rosemary
- Sugar for rimming the glasses (optional)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the glasses:
- For sugar-rimmed glasses, dip the rims of each glass into orange juice, then roll them in granulated sugar. Let them dry for a few minutes.
2. Mix the drinks:
- Pour equal parts orange juice and cranberry juice into each glass, about 1 dl of the juice mixture per glass.
- Top up each glass with sparkling wine, pouring slowly to avoid overflow.
3. Garnish and serve:
- Add a few fresh cranberries to each glass for a festive touch.
- Place a small sprig of rosemary in each glass for an aromatic and decorative flair.
