There is usually a reason why you open a bottle of wine, and we all have our favorites, whether it’s red wine, white wine, Champagne, Cava, or Prosecco. Maybe it's a loving dinner with your loved ones, a wedding, a birthday, or another special day worth celebrating.
But what do you actually do with the cork from the bottle you opened for that special occasion? Each cork holds a memory and is a reminder of a special moment. Maybe from your wedding or the cork from that expensive champagne bottle you received as a 40th birthday gift. Whatever you do with the cork, it deserves a proper home, which is why we created Corkframes!
Over the years, wine corks have been used in countless crafts and projects, by both young and old. At Corkframes, we have been inspired by many things before arriving at our minimalist Corkframe.
What exactly is a Corkframe and how does it work? Simply put, it is a unique and stylish interior detail in which you can easily store your wine memories. It’s as simple as that! You simply open a bottle and let the cork drop neatly through the hole on the side of your handmade Corkframe. As you add more corks, your cork frame transforms into a truly stylish piece of art, somewhat like a corkboard filled with corks from all your pleasant wine memories. And of course, it’s perfectly fine to save the corks from non-alcoholic wines as well, for those who prefer to abstain from alcohol.
Each Corkframe is handmade from untreated Swedish steel, with genuine safety glass in our workshop in Småland. Therefore, each Corkframe becomes unique, with its own shade and patina. A unique and stylish interior detail that draws attention and at the same time preserves memories. A fun tip is to write something on the corks before you place them inside, to preserve the memory of the occasion, the scent, and the taste.
