There is usually a reason why you open a bottle of wine and we all have our favourites, whether it is red wine, white wine, champagne, cava or prosecco.

Maybe it's a loving dinner with your loved ones, a wedding, a birthday or another special day worth celebrating.

But what do you actually do with the cork from the bottle you popped on that special occasion? Each cork has a memory and is a reminder of a special occasion. Maybe from your wedding or the cork from that expensive bottle of champagne you got as a 40th birthday present. Whatever you do with the cork, it deserves a real home, that's why we created Corkframes!

The whole original idea of corkboards has been around since the 1970s in various forms and guises. Over the years, corks themselves have been used for countless crafts and projects, both by young and old. We at Corkframes have been inspired by many things before arriving at our refined and minimalist Corkframe.

How does a cork frame from Corkframes work?

Yes, what exactly is a Corkframe and how does it work? In short, it's a nice and unique interior detail that you easily and easily store your wine memories in. It doesn't get more complicated than that! You simply pop a bottle and let the cork fall neatly through the hole in the side of your handmade Corkframe. As you fill up with corks, your cork frame turns into a really nice piece of art, a bit like a cork board filled with corks from all the pleasant wine memories. And it is of course perfectly possible to save the cork for non-alcoholic wines as well, for those who prefer to abstain from alcohol.

What do they look like?

Each Corkframe is handmade from untreated Swedish steel, with real glass in our workshop in Småland. Therefore, each frame becomes unique, with its own shade and patina. A unique interior detail that attracts attention and at the same time saves memories and pops up life. A fun tip is to write something on the corks before you put them down, to preserve the memory of the occasion, the smell and the taste.
