Barolo Wine Map – Vineyards & Villages
Discover Barolo through a detailed wine map of the appellation, drawn parcel by parcel from the official Piedmontese register.
Barolo is small. The whole appellation covers less than 30 km² of hillside south of Alba, and the map shows it as it really is — not a smooth outline but a lacework of individual vineyard plots, following the ridges and turning away from the shaded slopes where Nebbiolo will not ripen.
Each of the eleven comuni that share the appellation is drawn in its own tone, with the delimited surface it holds. La Morra and Monforte d'Alba are the largest; Serralunga d'Alba, Barolo and Castiglione Falletto make up the classic heart. Around them, the paler texture is every other delimited vineyard of the Langhe.
A decorative and informative wine map for anyone who wants to understand where Barolo actually comes from, and to add a refined piece of wine-inspired design to the wall.
