Ingredients:

  • 120 ml (4 oz) red wine (preferably a fruity wine like Tempranillo or Garnacha)
  • 30 ml (1 oz) brandy
  • 15 ml (0.5 oz) orange liqueur (such as Triple Sec or Cointreau)
  • 60 ml (2 oz) orange juice
  • 30 ml (1 oz) lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 apple, diced
  • 1/4 orange, sliced
  • 1/4 lemon, sliced
  • 1/4 lime, sliced
  • 60 ml (2 oz) soda water or sparkling water
  • Ice cubes

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the fruit:

    • Dice the apple and slice the orange, lemon, and lime. Place the fruit pieces in a large glass.

  2. Add sugar and lemon juice:

    • Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of sugar over the fruit and add 30 ml of lemon juice. Gently muddle to release the juices and flavors from the fruit.

  3. Add alcohol:

    • Pour 120 ml of red wine, 30 ml of brandy, and 15 ml of orange liqueur into the glass. Stir gently to combine.

  4. Add orange juice:

    • Pour in 60 ml of orange juice and stir again.

  5. Add ice and soda water:

    • Fill the glass with ice cubes and top with 60 ml of soda water or sparkling water.

  6. Stir and serve:

    • Stir one last time and serve immediately.

Tips:

  • For a sweeter sangria, add more sugar to taste.
  • For a fruitier flavor, let the mixture sit in the fridge for 30 minutes before adding ice and soda water.
