A Producer Rooted in Gotland’s Soil

Gotlandschips was born from a simple idea: to make truly great chips from the potatoes grown on Gotland, one of Sweden’s most renowned potato regions. The island’s lime-rich soil, unique climate, and close collaboration with local farmers create ideal conditions for a raw ingredient with exceptional flavour and natural quality.

Sustainability Through Local Circular Systems

All production takes place on Gotland, minimising transport and maintaining a close link between grower and producer. The potatoes are stored, washed and prepared directly on site, and the chips are fried in 100% Swedish rapeseed oil of high quality.
The small-scale process also makes it possible to utilise potatoes and chips that would otherwise be discarded. These leftovers are converted into biogas, which in turn powers the fryer. This circular approach reduces waste and ensures that the entire resource is used in a smart, sustainable way.

Gotlandschips uses open kettles and smaller batch sizes to maintain full control over flavour, texture and quality. Each batch is carefully monitored to achieve the perfect crispness and colour.
