Ingredients (1 drink)

  • 5 cl Amaretto (e.g. Disaronno)

  • 3 cl freshly squeezed lemon juice

  • 1.5 cl simple syrup

  • Ice

  • (optional) A dash of egg white for a creamier texture

  • (to serve) Lemon slice or cocktail cherry

How to Make It

  • Pour Amaretto, lemon juice, and simple syrup into a shaker.

  • If using egg white, add it for a soft, foamy top.

  • Dry shake (without ice) first if using egg white.

  • Add ice and shake again until well chilled.

  • Strain into a lowball glass filled with ice.

  • Garnish with a lemon slice or a cocktail cherry.

Serving Tips

  • Use an elegant lowball glass to elevate the experience.

  • Try swapping the simple syrup for maple syrup or honey for a deeper flavor.

  • A dash of Angostura bitters can balance the sweetness – perfect for those who enjoy more complex profiles.
